Many of my favorite artists are autistic, and I was wondering if their talents would disappear if there was a cure for autism?
Having a “handicap” has sort of allowed them to excel in the unlikely. So would restoring their mental abilities take away from their God-given gifts.

I just thought I’d give people something to think about.
But if there was a treatment, would it most likely be a surgical procedure, or a medication? And is it preventable at birth?

I have autism and I think I am much better with it then without it. I don’t think they would take it because of their gifts and also because it would probably be something you would have to treat at birth.
i work with children with autism and typical developing children. from what i’ve seen, it doesn’t matter if they are autistic or not. the ones that have that wonderful gift are noticed more becuse of their autism. one child a worked with had his “god given” gift and was amazing at writing poety. he wanted to grow up to find the cure for austism because he didn’t want other kids to have to deal with it the way he has.
yeah i think the world would stand still, to be honest
autistics, i think, are the ones who do everything, that makes life better, different, changes soceitys etc
i think they wold wait til they were born and deal with it then
NO that would not make sense they would stll have the ability im sure but i would not know my big brother has autism and sadly there is no cure
