Is there something else in it that has been linked to autism? I heard something about vaccine-induced measles virus being found in the brain and intestines of a 9 year-old autistic boy.

I only want answers from people who know why MMR is attributed to autism, not from people who deny it. That’s not because I don’t want to listen to reason. It’s just that I know that side already and am just interested in why MMR is linked to autism when it never had thimerisol.

Many people desperately want to believe the MMR vaccine causes autism because scientists don’t know yet what causes autism, but the parents of autistic children desperately want answers, which is understandable, but the conclusion is erroneous, as study after study has proved. The reason it often gets BLAMED (incorrectly) for autism is that the vaccine is coincidentally given at about the same time that autism starts showing up in children. It’s a faulty cause-effect conclusion.
There’s a vaccine for autism?
The THEORY is that It’s the high level of mercury found in the bottoms of SOME vials of the vaccine. Although I don’t jump at the “lastest” this is bad, tomorrow it’s not bad theories, to be safe, I always ask that the vaccines come from a new well-shaken vial.
It’s actually a genetic suseptibility that does it. The mecury that stabilizes the live virus for innoculation works in ways scientists have yet to exactly understand concretely. But the genetic link is definately there prior to the vaccination, many cases show an exagerated or magnified effect after the innoculation.
I see it this way:
Measles : cureable
Mumps: cureable
Rubella (german measles): dangerous; but very cureable
Polio: not cureable
So hold off on that MMR shot for your infant or toddler. Don’t hold off for the Polio vaccination. MMR is safer when administered to adult sized children (13+) or adults (18+)
To get the information you want, you actually have to go back quite a ways. Some years ago, a researcher found that there was measles virus in the intestines of autistic children. At the same time, other researchers found that autistic children had higher levels of aluminum in their brains. This turns out to be the result of having autism, not a cause. Whatever causes autism causes a break in the blood-brain barrier allowing more aluminum in the brain than would otherwise be found.
There was a lot of controversy regarding the MMR. Japan banned the MMR in their country for 10 years. No change in the rate of autism. They reintroduced it and there was no accompanying increase in autism. Further research using family videos showed that autistic children clearly had the symptoms as young as 1 month old. Therefore, research is now looking at an environmental cause that occurs prenatally.
Aloha (poster above) has insufficient information. Measles causes death (we had 8 babies die during an epidemic amongst the Hmong locally about 15 years ago) and is the primary cause of deafness in the world. Mumps can cause eye damage that is permanent. Rubella, when contracted by a pregnant woman, used to injure 20,000 newborns annually, killing many and severely injuring others.
Thimerisol is the mercury in most vaccines (not just MMR). For decades, the AAP has calimed that thimerisol is not dangerous and that it does not cause autism. Recently (a couple years ago) it was ordered that thimerisol be taken out of all the vaccines immediately. I am not a doctor; I don’t know what causes autism or other neurological diseases. But i strikes me as odd that something “harmless” is suddenly being taken out, for “no reason”….they say “It’s not dangerous….we’re just taking it out in case.” In case of what? I don’t want to find out. My son is healthier for not having these poisons in his body (and this is not my opinion….vaccines have poison for filler…..you want to see a list of ingredients? go to the websites of the companies that make them…a few I’ve found? formaldehyde; monkey kidneys; anitfreeze; methanol; sulfate….and again, this isn’t me being some “crazy whako mom”….these are listed on the company’s websites!! as if they’re not ashamed!). And FYI….just because thimerisol was ordered out of vaccines, does not mean there isn’t thimerisol in the vaccine your child receives tomorrow. Vaccines are made in large quanities at a time and can be stored for awhile. Doctors use up “old” batches before starting new ones.
