I have a 7 year old son with high-functioning autism. Should I put him on a drug to improve his behavior?

Autism or Psychotic Behavior?
I have a student that is extremely intelligent. I like this student as he can be very nice and responsive. His behavior becomes very childlike and in some ways it seems as though he may be possessed. At times it can be very scary as it seems he may hurt himself or others. So really it seems behavioral, but once it starts he cannot stop. He cannot refocus his behavior.
The reason why I think it may not be Autism is because he is able to look people directly in the eyes when talking to them. He likes to be patted on the pack or give people fives, etc. Normally kids with Autism do not want to be touched in any way. Also, he feels remorse for the things he’s done after they’ve happened. Other students with Autism do not even realize what they have done. It does not even phase them at any point. This students had been diagnosed by doctors, but they admit that he is an exception to the Autism norm. Any ideas or similar experiences, please help! I would like to help him.

Can an Antiepileptic medication cause malformation or autism in a 22 weeks pregnancy?
My daughter has 22 weeks of pregnancy and she is having seizures. The Doctor said that she needs to start medications as soon as possible. She had epilepsy and she is been out of medications for about 7 years. We are worry because we heard that this can cause malformation or autism in the baby. Is that possible if she has 22 weeks already?

What are some of the best sensory activities/products for children with autism?
This question is for parents of children with autism and autism professionals. I am looking to provide a really good sensory diet for my 3-year-old daughter, who has autism. Therapy catalogs are full of pricey products. Which ones have you found to be the best?

How do you get autism, do you really get it from childhood immunizations or is it genetic?
Also what are some books that can explain autism in great scientific detail. Im really interested in the great medical mysteries.

What’s the difference between Broad Autism Phenotype and PDD-NOS?
I just heard about Broad Autism Phenotype and it sounds the same as Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified. Is it? How are they different?

I know autism is typically shown as a child but can Autism also first show its signs in adulthood?
It may sound stupid, but are there two types of autism, one that develops in late teens/early adulthood or is just childhood?

Where are autism rates the highest? Does autism have a link to too much iodine for young children?
I know there are studies saying that Iodine deficiency could lead to autism, but what about too much for children.

Why do people believe Autism is related to immunizations?
Would to like to hear oppinions on why some people believe Austim is related to routine childhood vaccinations. I have identical twin boys who have had the same vaccines in the same enviroment, and have ate the same foods (bc I have heard also there is a theory about chemicals used to preserve food contributing to Autism). The first born twin has high-fuctioning Asperger’s Syndrome, and the second born does not have any form of Autism. Based on this experience I don’t believe Vaccines had anything to do with this. If I had to venture a guess for the cause I would say that it may be an area of his brain did not develop correctly. Anyway, would love to hear oppinions on this subject, what you believe might be a cause of Autism, or other reasons why you may choose to not vaccinate your child. Thanks.
Would like to add that they were tested, and confirmed as being identical. Also that they were born at 29wks premature, and were on the same devolpment level at birth, and through their stay at the NICU.

Is it possible that the recent autism epidemic is a result of radiation poisoning caused by Chernobyl in 1986?
Now 1 in 150 babies born are later diagnosed with autism or autistic spectrum disorders. The problem seems to have gotten much worse in the early 90s, right when the children born to mothers all around the world who might have been exposed to low levels of radiation during the chernobly incident would have been turning about the right age to show developmental defects.
