This looks more Break Dancing then actual Capoeira. He did more flashy dance moves then real attacks, I don’t think he was meant to be thought as a capoeirista.

It’s not really Muay Thai versus Capoeira so much as autism versus Tourette’s syndrome.

And while this is sort of Capoeira, it does really look more breakdancing. Breakdancing after a serious head injury.

The autism reference is from the main character, the girl there.

It is not making fun of autistic people, it’s what makes her such a genius fighter. See, there’s an underlying theme in the movie that says autism can be a curse and/or a blessing. It doesn’t mean autistic people can do that stuff, but then again there’s a lot of different levels of autism.
